A stakeholder is someone who is involved in or affected by your event. They could be a sponsor, a supplier, or a delegate. It is important to consider your stakeholders carefully as you may have stakeholders who you do not immediately think of.

It is important to check that your stakeholders understand and are happy with the sustainability objectives for your event. The issues log is a way for you to store and concerns or comments made by stakeholders. You will need to consider this information to decide if your sustainability objectives can be achieved.
What is a supplier?
A supply is someone who is providing a service for your event. They could be a supply directly to you or indirectly via a 3rd party who is supplying you.
How can I engage our suppliers on climate change issues?

Recycling reduces waste to landfill. You can work with your suppliers to encourage recycling activities and also to buy in high recycled content products eg: stationary supplies. Waste costs businesses money to dispose of, so it is in your suppliers best interests to reduce the amount of wastes that they generate.
